dtz yesterday signed a strategic cooperation agreement with hna infrastructure, a subsidiary of hna group. this was based on a solid working relationship between dtz and hna infrastructure as our occupier services team has been serving the client’s various landmark office projects across china by continuously introducing reputable chinese and overseas occupier tenants.
the agreement-signing ceremony was held on 18 may. the officiating guests included mr yang hongri, vice president of hna infrastructure; ms ouyang lingying, chairman of hna real estate marketing management co ltd; as well as four dtz management executives: larry lee, chief financial officer and chief operating officer, greater china; jonathan wei, senior director, head of occupier services, china; spencer pang, managing director, central china and benny lam, director of property and facilities management, south china.

hna infrastructure has a list of remarkable office tower projects across china. in recent years, the company has been active in the real estate industry in haikou, hainan, where it has developed a central business cluster on the international tourism island project in dayingshan's cbd. the cluster comprises several grade 5a office buildings such as hainan tower and international financial center. the developments are set to benefit from china's latest national strategic initiatives, in particular the recent “one belt, one road” policy and the establishment of the asian infrastructure investment bank, which will provide enormous business opportunities to the real estate industry.
representing hna infrastructure and dtz respectively, ms ouyang lingying and jonathan wei signed the strategic cooperation agreement which will strengthen the relationship between the two companies and will herald a new model of cooperation in the field of commercial real estate.

speaking of the strategic cooperation agreement, mr yang hongri expressed high hopes for a new level of cooperation between hna and dtz in terms of combined resources and expanded business connections. he also hoped that such alliance between the two companies will set a precedent for renowned real estate enterprises in exploring win-win opportunities.

since 2013, dtz's china osg teams in different cities helped introduce prominent occupiers to hna's office tower projects, such as rock technology to hna building in beijing, and shanghai general motors to hna wanbang center in qingdao. we also served as the sole on-site leasing agent for hna poly international center, hna's iconic project in chongqing, where we introduced a plethora of well-known chinese and overseas corporations as tenants in the past two years, including the hungarian consulate, uob, regus and fuji xerox.
