on 14 july 2015, dtz signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the commercial network construction & development center (known as "china commercial industry"). the agreement was signed by mr xiaohui sun, ceo of investment group of china commercial industry, and alva to, managing director of hong kong and head of consulting, greater china of dtz.
china commercial industry, which was established on 11 october 1993 with the approval of the state commission office for public sector reform, is under the state-owned assets supervision and administration commission of the state council (sasac). china commercial industry is responsible for the technical support, policy consultation, administration of construction bodies, collection and coordination of funding in setting up of commercial networks in china. it is also involved in the planning and construction of logistics parks and merchandise procurement centers, as well as in the urban promotion and development of related industries.

under this agreement, dtz aims at establishing a strong foothold in the five business areas of china commercial industry, which are urban mixed-use projects, modern services demonstration zones, intelligent industrial parks, healthy cities, and the cci new districts with a unique "4 x" development model. dtz and the china commercial industry will together explore various opportunities of cooperation in these five business areas, focusing on the aspects of investment and development, capital management and capital operation. currently dtz is providing consultancy services for the smart hq base project, an intelligent industrial park in nantong, jiangsu province. it is hoped that the strategic cooperation agreement china commercial industry will bring more businesses like this to dtz in future.
